MY name's Andy and I have been a teacher of MFL for the past 30 years, having taught both French and German to GCSE and A Level as well as some KS3 Spanish and GCSE Dutch along the way. All the resources I publish here are things I use with my own classes and think could be useful to others.

One of my Senior students asked me for a handout on how to use apostrophes in French. As I couldn't find anything for him, I made one myself. I've also added nouvel, bel & vieil and blocking letter t in reported speech & the use of masculine possessives instead of feminine + vowel.

a caroussel activity of 7 grammar points (including question words) for Yr9 to practise. I cut the activities up and the class moves round completing the various activities. On the next table, I have the answers of the previous activity for them to correct.

a couple of worksheets (with some common elements) on jobs, workplaces and personal qualities. There is an accompanying powerpoint to introduce new vocab & a vocab test to end the topic - aimed at Yr9 and would go well with Logo 3 unit 4 (p78-81)

Perfect tense in French le passé composé

a straightforward presentation introducing the perfect tense in French - starts with regular ER verbs, then adds 5 irregular verbs (oir/re), goes on to être verbs (only 4 at this stage) + agreements. There are exercises on each section & a recap at the end. I decided not to mention the general rule of RE>U é IR>I as the examples I chose, don't follow these patterns, however you may wish to add a slide mentioning this. This powerpoint is aimed at (end of) Yr7 but could be used for any class at KS3 or even as revision for the beginning of Yr10
